Introduction

I have decided to write my first blog post as an introduction. Hi there, my name is Saun Gardrersy (SAUN (like Sean/Shawn) GARD (like gardener) R ERSY (like jersey)).
Nice to meet you!

Why This Blog

I have just decided to start this blog an hour or two ago. I was bored after work and wanted to do something constructive with my time, so I started writing a fictional eBook about high school drama. While writing, I got a sudden change of heart. I was thinking; Hey... why spread more commercial, non-Christian material out there when there is so much of that already? Why not talk about my relationship with God instead? I wish that there was more Christian media in the world. Look at how even animal or science shows talk about evolution like its well-known fact. You only hear of Christian stuff if you're actively looking for it.

I don't think I would ever be able to write an entire eBook on a single subject, so I decided to start a blog in smaller pieces; centered around my experience with Jesus. With a blog I can share about a variety of things like money and Christianity, talking about God to non-Christian friends, my thoughts on scriptures, and worship.

I also know that by writing about my relationship with God, it will bring me closer to Him. I believe that the Holy Spirit wants to work in us like a river. We can't expect the Holy Spirit to pour into us without us pouring Him back into others. A river with water coming in but not flowing out just sits and becomes septic. A constant flow of water IN and OUT produces fresh, living water. The truth is that I haven't been doing much 'pouring into others' lately. Honestly, I haven't been doing anything spiritually productive for years. It's like I've settled for a life of daily quiet times, and that's it. I used to teach and minister to others in my spare time, but work and 'life' got in the way. This blog might not be much, but at least it's a start. I pray that God's will be done regarding this blog. If His will is to use it for His good, then amen. If this is not part of what God's will is for me, then I pray that He let me know. I pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

Giving In To Jesus

I chose this name because I am currently learning to surrender everything (my life, my worries, my future, my hopes and dreams) to Jesus. I believe that God only truly becomes our God when we give everything up to him. Until we consciously surrender everything, we still have parts of our lives that we don't allow God to be God over.

My Qualifications

I am not a pastor. I don't work in the church. I don't have any religious qualifications. I am not even sure if God has called me to write this blog or not yet. All that I know is that I have a personal relationship with God and that I have encountered Him. Is that enough? God can decide, no-one else. This blog is simply my way of talking about my experiences and thoughts about Jesus. I know that capability is not measured by my ability, but by the ability of our Creator.

Intentions

I would be glad if I knew that the things I write here are beneficial to God's glory; that it  brings people closer to God; or if this could serve as God's voice through the noise. What if it doesn't? That's okay, as long as God's will be done above all. (And yes: you will hear me talking about God's will often). Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (MATTHEW 6; 10). Hopefully this blog grows and becomes the voice that I always wanted to have. I have often heard a good Christian song and wanted to share it with the world, but felt like I didn't have a big enough microphone. May this blog reflect my personal journey and discovery with God. Perhaps the quiet times that inspire messages within me can now be shared with the world.

Disclaimer

I am simply sharing my own personal experience and thoughts about my walk with Jesus. I understand that I have never walked in your shoes and don't even know who you are. I hope not to be insensitive. Please understand that I speak out my own experiences.

Feel free to share your thoughts and introductions below, Saun.
